World Voyager Ship visit: A review

While the official programme of our inaugural conference wrapped up on October 2nd, some of us had the opportunity of adding a delightful grand finale to the experience with a visit to Atlas Ocean Voyages' World Voyager on October 3rd, right in the heart of London. It was a fitting close to two incredible days of celebrating the best in expedition cruising.

Hosted by Bernie Carter, Head of International Sales at Atlas Ocean Voyages, the ship tour embodied the brand’s refined yet welcoming ethos. Known for his expertise with luxury brands, Bernie ensured guests felt right at home from the moment we stepped aboard. Our tour began in the Dome, the ship's Observation Lounge, where we were greeted with a glass of champagne and treated to a stunning live rendition of "Nessun Dorma" by the ship's musician—a moment that set the tone for the day.

We then had an opportunity to look around the ship, exploring the amenities on each deck, both including those dedicated to enhancing clients’ stay onboard the ship – the restaurant, the lounge, the pool deck complete with a bar, sun loungers and a pool, a gym, spa, and an onboard shop; and those to enhance the exploration ashore, such as the mudroom,  and the auditorium where the lectures take place. Along the way, we learned more about what sets Atlas Ocean Voyages apart—culminating in a sumptuous buffet lunch paired with wine to end the tour on a high note.

Though Atlas Ocean Voyages is a relatively new player in the industry—having launched in 2020—the company is rapidly establishing itself as a go-to luxury expedition cruise operator. Offering competitive options to explore some of the world’s most remote destinations, their fleet of purpose-built, all-inclusive vessels is designed with guest comfort and exploration in mind. With Portuguese roots, the brand brings a touch of Mediterranean hospitality onboard, particularly evident in its culinary experiences. This emphasis on gourmet dining shines through on every voyage, but even more so during their Epicurean Expeditions, which are dedicated to exploring regional flavours. Oh, and the accommodations are beautiful – and functional! -too: from entry level staterooms offering full floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the frozen scenery of polar realms in comfort to large premium suites complete with a living room area and a spacious balcony: allowing the variety to choose from for different types of budgets and client needs.

Our Verdict?

Atlas Ocean Voyages is an ideal choice for clients who seek an elevated onboard experience while journeying to some of the most remote regions on the planet. Despite its focus on luxury, the brand remains competitively priced—though this may evolve as the company’s loyal clientele base continues to grow. Indeed, the popularity was evident during our tour, as there was only one cabin available for inspection!

One of the key selling points of Atlas Ocean Voyages is its all-inclusive offering, which makes it easy for travel advisors to highlight the value of the experience. Apart from premium wines, spa treatments, and onboard shopping, there are virtually no extras guests need to pay for, making it a straightforward yet luxurious choice for those who want to explore the world without worrying about additional costs.

To make it even easier to work with, Atlas Ocean Voyages have also recently launched an online booking tool - you can find more information here.

In just a short time, Atlas Ocean Voyages has managed to carve out a unique space in the world of expedition cruising, and our visit to World Voyager confirmed why. With a blend of adventure, luxury, and thoughtful service, it’s a brand that we expect will only continue to grow in the years to come.
